Start of Trainings in Almaty
AYeconomics started one week of trainings “Technologies for performance assessment and impact analysis of the health systems. Comparative analysis at the international level” (This research funded by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan AP09058136)
The project is aimed at evaluating the health sector performance using aggregated regional health indicators (such as avoidable mortality); to analyse production structure of health sectors in order to understand to which extent the sector is resilient to external shocks; to compare production structure of Kazakhstan’s health sector with other countries to find the benchmark of trade off between health outcomes and production structure. The model will be built for each region taking into account local characteristics that allow better adaptation of policy design to the needs of regions. The project goal is to provide a flexible tool to measure the impact of the health policy by regions that will contribute to the design of effective and sustainable measures reducing regional inequality.
