Policy Evaluation

We provide state-of-the-art impact evaluation and policy recommendations. We believe that research-based policy recommendations provide a sound basis for effective action. We can make policies work more effectively providing a better understanding of the mechanisms that bring the changes in social and economic systems.
We evaluate, monitor and analyse social policies applied to the labour market, environment, agriculture, gender, and other related social science areas.

We make data speak.
We filter and process data based on econometric or input-output models providing robust and statistically significant conclusions. The types of analysis that can be implemented are:
(1) Linear regression models (cross-section pool)
(2) Sample selection bias models (Heckman correction)
(3) Models with instrumental variables
(4) Discrete choice models (probit/logit)
(5) Linear panel data models (fixed effects, random effects …)
(6) Dynamic panel data models (GMM)
(7) Impact Models (input-output)

Training
We provide short intensive trainings for researchers and academics from High Education Institutions, for policymakers and government practitioners, NGOs and other organisations. The purpose of the courses is to provide with the tools necessary to analyse data and to form a good basis for your decision-making process.
All courses include theoretical and practical modules that can be taught in English, Russian, Spanish, Galician or bilingual. Practical modules can be conducted in Gretl (very intuitive open-source software), R (less intuitive but powerful open-source software) and Stata (powerful software for data science needs).
